Psalms 103

Praise for the Lord’s Mercies.

A Psalm of David.

1 aBless the Lord, my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His bholy name.
2 Bless the Lord, my soul,
And cdo not forget any of His benefits;
3 Who dpardons all your guilt,
Who eheals all your diseases;
4 Who fredeems your life from the pit,
Who gcrowns you with favor and compassion;
5 Who hsatisfies your
Or desire
years with good things,
So that your youth is jrenewed like the eagle.

6 The Lord kperforms
Or deeds of vindication
righteous deeds
And judgments for all who are moppressed.
7 He nmade known His ways to Moses,
His odeeds to the sons of Israel.
8 The Lord is pcompassionate and gracious,
qSlow to anger and abounding in mercy.
9 He rwill not always contend with us,
Nor will He skeep His anger forever.
10 He has tnot dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor rewarded us according to our guilty deeds.
11 For as high uas the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who
Or revere
fear Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He wremoved our wrongdoings from us.
13 Just xas a father has compassion on his children,
So the Lord has compassion on those who
Or revere
fear Him.
14 For zHe Himself knows
I.e., what we are made of
our form;
He abis mindful that we are nothing but acdust.

15 As for man, his days are adlike grass;
Like a aeflower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 When the afwind has passed over it, it is no more,
And its agplace no longer knows about it.
17 But the
Or faithfulness
,
aimercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting for those who
Or revere
fear Him,
And His justice akto the children’s children,
18 To althose who keep His covenant
And remember His precepts, so as to do them.

19 The Lord has established His amthrone in the heavens,
And His
Or kingdom
,
aosovereignty rules over
I.e., the universe
all.
20 Bless the Lord, you aqHis angels,
arMighty in strength, who asperform His word,
atObeying the voice of His word!
21 Bless the Lord, all you auHis
Lit hosts
angels,
You awwho serve Him, doing His will.
22 Bless the Lord, axall you works of His,
In all places of His dominion;
Bless the Lord, my soul!
